Well, I give January an A+ for improving my posting frequency. I give it a D for being boring as heck. I give it a C- for being faithful to my goals about posting every day.
Lesson learned: I should have balanced the whole ‘write everything down’ thing with the whole ‘let’s not make the Fitbit cry’ thing.
But it’s another month, and another goal, and I know I was considering pictures of Elmer, and thirty minutes on the elliptical, and decluttering. But this morning I staggered out of bed, weary from a night of Elmer crying all night during a thunderstorm and realized: I need more sleep.
Do you have any idea how important it is that we all get enough sleep? There’s our brains, for one thing. And everything else. (These are the least scary articles I could find.)
So I’m going to get really boring this month and try to get seven hours of sleep every night. Given the time I get up every morning (no later than 5 a.m.) this means I have to be down by 10 p.m. and falling asleep. No more late night Civ Rev marathons, unless I can sleep in.
I’m using my Fitbit to track. To give you an idea of what I’m up against, here’s the most recent screen shot:

And this has been a very sleep-filled week for me. Most times, five hours is a stretch.
But not this month. Every day, a picture at the very least. Thanks for hanging on with me.
What the heck is she doing now?
