When I met Dad, Interrupted, he had a beautiful Dalmatian named Sadie, who was devoted to him. Sadie had seen him through some rough times that DI would have otherwise faced alone, and he loved her back.

Sadie and I got along well enough, considering I was clearly the latecomer to the game. The kids liked her a lot.

That being said, it became clear that our habit of producing more children was messing with Sadie’s head, and that we crossed a line when the youngest Kid, Interrupted showed up. Forget everything that Disney showed us; Dalmatians are not necessarily great with kids.

But they’re great with Dads, Interrupted.
