And you thought you’d get some sleep after your kids got older. HAH!

Pun intended.

Thanks to Zicam, my cold symptoms are almost completely under control. I don’t have any financial interest in this company, but lordy, this stuff is effective, and studies show that zinc is the one thing that really can help. I’d probably light up a metal detector with all those minerals in me, but I don’t care.

One caveat on the Zicam: don’t ever buy the chews. They’re trying to get you to think it’s like eating a Starburst, but it’ snot (see what I did there?). It’s what evil tastes like. Go with the nasal spray every time.

Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor, and if you follow my advice you’re on your own.

That’s probably true about everything, come to think about it.

So, the only things left on the disease front are a cold sore that is still rather mutant and a touch of vertigo. Last night I lay down for a while and played Civ Rev and drowsed off, woke up, really went to bed, and woke up some more.

Because our house was hopping like Danny and the Juniors were playing a concert in the family room. I’m starting to think that maybe everyone else is a vampire and unable to sleep.

What with guests coming over and different conversation combinations and kids watching TV in their rooms and people going up and down the stairs…I’m amazed I got as much sleep as I did.

If I count the nap, and Fitbit certainly did, and I hear and obey, O Wearable Gods, I got almost 8.4 hours of sleep last night.

What the heck is she doing now?
