Normally I post the Besst of the Day the morning after, because you never know: something cool might happen while I’m asleep.

So I didn’t post Friday’s Besst because I hit the ground running Saturday getting to Saturday’s Besst. So hear now: The Besst.

Friday: I think the Besst part was where I got all organized and determined at the end of the day, which is unlike me. Normally I’m a morning person, and at 4 pm on any day (Friday’s especially) I’m kinda slumped in my chair drooling.

But not this Friday. I cleaned up my to-do list, made all kinds of plans, and got my stuff together.

And on Saturday….

One of the Best Friends, Interrupted and I fulfilled our long-postponed plan to celebrate our birthdays with a spa day. We hit The Spa at Camelback Inn and I cannot recommend it enough. Seriously: no words.

Of course, I got a facial: The Camelback Signature. Hot stone massage, pumpkin enzymes (so I smelled pie all day long…bonus!), great skin advice…

We got to lounge around in in fluffy robes and eat a delicious lunch (the Arizona Beef Salad is exquisite) and see the world from the north side of Camelback Mountain.

And because I’m on a quest to get out of my 55-year old box a bit, I did something I have never done before: I got a pedicure.

Yes, the Queen of Don’t Touch My Feet abdicated and did this:

Bonus Out of the Box: I let the nail tech pick the color.

Bonus Out of the Box: I let the nail tech pick the color.

And because my life is so interesting, the Besst to Beat for Sunday is that my Nest thermostat updated its software.

Life is great, if you’re a nerd.

What is the Besst project?

And why is it called Besst?
