First off, I want to thank the kind people who have contacted us here at Headquarters, Interrupted to find out what the the heck has happened to The Besst. If you look backwards, you don’t see a lot of commenting going on, so sometimes it’s easy to think that the only audience I really have is the gang of crickets lurking under the homepage.

So, thank you.

It’s never my intent to stop looking for The Besst from each day, but September almost came up empty. Early in the month, a close family member landed in the hospital with a life-threatening ailment. Mercifully, the Close Family Member lived to fight another day and has come home to roost, but only after a priest had been called, a task I hope to never have to repeat.

The month was not without its highlights, however. Some of The Bessts:

– I knew I had great friends; I apparently did a poor job of estimating how many there were and just how great they were.

– Dad, Interrupted is, without question, the finest human on the face of the planet. While I was sick with worry and trying to handle a stressful load at work, he made sure he was at the hospital with the CFM, talking to nurses, running interference, and running errands.

– The Kids, Interrupted are awesome.

That is all.

I hope to get back in The Besst game right away, as time and stress levels permit.

What is the Besst project?

And why is it called Besst?
