The Besst of Friday was that my insistence on devotion to customer service paid off big time. No details here: just know that if people know you’re taking care of them, they’re less likely to get ticked off when something goes wrong.

The Besst of Saturday…how do I love thee, Saturday? Let me count the ways:

– I cannot say enough about Arizona Clean Pros. What with my work hours and Dad, Interrupted’s schedule and the remodeling and the ‘rents moving in….let’s just say that we really needed these wonderful, wonderful women. They appeared and ran for several hours and left me with a clean house. They get paid by the hour but you’ll recall I said ‘ran’ and I meant it. Even my legally-blind father knew that those women hustled and did not stop.

I was going to engage them for every other week but Dad, Interrupted looked around at the upstairs bathroom we share with the boys and said two things:

“It looks like this room has never even seen a teenager.”

and

“Every week. Get a price for every week.”

– I am now benefiting from the fact that I’m an idiot.

I ordered the oldest Son, Interrupted’s birthday present and ordered the wrong one. He wanted a new xbox 360 and in my naivete only got a 4GB, which apparently is a massive gamer faux pas and I got pitying looks from his brother when I asked him to wrap it.

So I’m buying the 250GB one because who could not know that you needed that??? and I’m keeping the 4GB one because my data needs run to one game (Civilization Revolution, of course) and I’m a noob lightweight. I stayed up way too late last night playing in my own room, even though gaming was taking place in the family room, a situation that would have made me sit quietly feeling sorry for myself just one brief day ago. I was having so much fun I didn’t want to go to bed, like a four year old trying to stay up past her bedtime.

What is the Besst project?

And why is it called Besst?
