I did not have high hopes for today. For one thing, I was leaving town on a business trip just as we we’re to start construction on an addition to our house. I hated leaving Dad, Interrupted alone to finish off the details. On top of that, I was stuck going on this trip alone, to a resort in Orlando where I’d know pretty much no one.

I hate going places where I know know no one. No one believes it, but I’m terribly shy.

But I was determined that I wasn’t going to hang in my (albeit) luxurious room and read. So I went for a walk:

One of the few places on my walk not filled with people holding hands.

and then I had dinner outside on the patio (after I talked myself out of buying a sandwich and eating it in my room) and I even had an Asahi to go with this:

That's spicy tuna nachos...

i still miss Dad, Interrupted, though.
