The Besst part of yesterday was visiting Mom and Dad.

I was charged with looking at her computer regarding the Microsoft support stoppage for XP, and as I was getting the lay of the land Son, Interrupted was telling his grandma that she didn’t have to worry: since her box was really running Windows 7, and was only pretending to run XP, she could continue as she was.

Mom insisted that no, she needed to ditch the virtual machine and start working with Windows 7.

SI’s comments did sound smart, but then I researched it a little and nope, Grandma, Interrupted was correct.

So the migration began, and I’m almost done. Mom is ensconced with Live Mail, and I’m still researching how to move actual programs from the virtual over to Windows 7.

Perhaps I should ask Mom. She seems to know what she’s doing.

P.S. The only senior moment yesterday was mine, as I may have grabbed the wrong salads when I headed over to her house. Mom, if you have two Fresh Express Ensaladas instead of Pear and Gorgonzola, that’s my fault.

What is the Besst project?

And why is it called Besst?
