I am going to have trouble finding clever ways to disguise the fact that I sometimes don’t get to this every day…truth is:

My ‘system,’ as it were, is to wake up before work and walk two miles, shower, eat breakfast, and write up yesterday’s Besst. On Saturdays, my schedule is disrupted, what with not going to work and all. Which is one way of saying, “Get used to double entries on the weekends.”

Here we go, the Bessts of Friday and Saturday:

March 21, 2014: Project took a left turn when we realized that two key elements aren’t working correctly. I had the brilliant idea to call our programmer at 4 pm on Friday, which stretched into a call lasting ’til 6:30 pm. The good thing about staying really late on a Friday evening is that if we had waited to talk ’til Monday morning we would be really behind. Programmer Guy kept working on this thing until very late on Friday, bless his heart, and we won’t be so far behind.

Went to see Muppets Most Wanted with the youngest Son, Interrupted. Funny movie, but we were the only people in the theater. True, we went to the 10:30 show, but that was weird.

The Universe smacked me on the head over the last few days, but in a good way, and it all started with an email about my column.

March 22, 2014: Got Elmer out for a walk, got a haircut, went to bed early. That going to bed early…that’s the bomb.

As much as I adore an uneventful day, I think I have an obligation to myself to make more days more meaningful. I just let this one slip past the goalie, rather unattended.

What is the Besst project?

And why is it called Besst?
