The Besst of Yesterday was that I got to spend time with my biggest customer, who is just a delight to work with.
With him, one thing I want to keep up with is: is my team serving your team the way you want? Are our service levels acceptable, etc? (I like to ask these questions before I find out the hard way.)
Not to worry…I’m paraphrasing, but the answer was positive. (Actually, that’s more of a distillation than a paraphrase, but you get the gist.)
A little bit of housekeeping: today is the end of January, so this weekend we’ll pick the Besst of the Month. The Besst of the Month will then go on to compete at the end of 2014 for Besst of the Year. We’re picking based on:
– impact (exactly how happy did that particular Besst make me? It is, after all, all about Me.)
– feedback (how many people reacted to that Besst? After Me, it is all about You.)
– tiebreakers will involve an estimation of timelessness, sentimentality, and anything that involves my house being cleaned and/or Elmer. Elmer usually wins everything.
We’ll also select a runner-up; if for any reason the Besst of the Month cannot finish its term, the runner-up has to stand ready to take its place.
No swimsuit competition. It’s all about talent.
