Two very odd things vie for the Besst of Yesterday:
1. I started my very batch of cold-brewed coffee yesterday. I am drinking the results now. Methinks I like.
You can do it ‘by hand’ pretty easily….ground coffee into a pitcher of measured water overnight, strain it through a standard coffee filter in the morning, dilute with water from the electric kettle.
If this is what I think it is (a fabulous cup of coffee, and I’m still a little bleary here), I will be freed, liberated I tell you! from the Tyranny of the Inconsiderate Coffee Drinker at work. I’ll just put my fabulous concentrate into a sealed container, store it in the fridge at work, and when I want a cup of coffee, I’ll just use the hot water (which is always available) and make me a cup of joe.
(And if anyone takes any of my precious concentrate, I swear I’ll get my own little fridge in my office and my own electric kettle and I’ll build my own little Fortress of Doom in my own corner and…whoa. There’s a lot of caffeine in cold brewed coffee.)
2. I got to start a new analysis at work. It’s gonna be about two million lines of data. I got to work on the queries for a few delicious moments yesterday.
There’s something about a fresh, blank Access database. I’m guessing that it’s like fresh powder to a skier.
Lord, I’m a nerd. But a caffeinated one.
