Please don’t take this the wrong way: The best thing about today is that I have a very real and reasonable expectation that I won’t have to see this view again for a while:

 

Please don’t get me wrong: the Marriott is a fabulous chain of hotels and I’m thrilled to have been here. And the week was filled with all kinds of good things, like…

– meeting loads of my customers, who are without exception a delightful group of people and I am privileged to serve them;

– traveling with kind and thoughtful coworkers like Mike and Deborah;

– good news about other coworkers’ improving health;

– nice feedback from valued, highly-placed coworkers;

– the opportunity to walk more than 10,000 steps a day.

Stuff like that.

But I want to be home. And right now I’m the closest I’ve been all week.

I’m gonna go pack.
