Today was a day of a million paper cuts…my feet are killing me from standing for fourteen hours; I’m temporarily short-staffed and worried about that for about ten million reasons; and my flight home tomorrow got cancelled.
So meet today’s Besst:
Mike is my guardian angel: he is the ‘baby’s’ pediatrician (HRIS support), treasured coworker, and the person who kept me off the roof today. Perpetually sunny, he teased me outside so we could see what -12 degrees felt like (hint: it’s really, really cold) and watched our ‘store’ while I made many trips to the john.
If you remember my little rant about Smelta Airlines over a year ago, Mike was the one whose very presence kept me from having a temper tantrum during that epic flight home.
Don’t ever leave me, Mike. I’ll be up on the roof in about ten minutes.

-12 degrees is a severe sucking cold. You must be at the center of the Polar Vortex!
I wish we could send some of our 78 degrees (feels like 76 with windchill) your way. What ever you do don’t give into the temptation to lick any exposed flagpoles. 😉
