Srsly: this is ridiculous. Apparently the only time I

a) can get to a computer I can post on and

b) the computer isn’t weirding out in some way and

c) have something to write

will be at 4 a.m. four Thursdays from now.

My days are still blurry, and will be for a while, I’m afraid. Am trying so hard to get that enterprise application ball over the finish line, but we’re doing that bit where we keep dividing the final distance by half so right now it feels like we’ll never get there.

Last Wednesday,  I managed to miss Cole’s band concert. I had been told that he’d be playing at 7:30 pm, so when I left work at 6 pm I had pleeeenty of time to get there. Except he was really playing at 6:30, and no one called to alert me so I could leave earlier. This resulted in an argument. A loud one. With everyone except Elmer (Dog, Interrupted). How is this the Besst of the Day? When Cole came back and we apologized to each other. And he had recorded the concert on Dad, Interrupted’s iPad.

On Thursday, we had dinner with our very dear neighbors who are moving this week. To Seattle. Dinner was awesome. The moving part sucks. We have known them for about nineteen years.

Friday saw some good and very surprising news from my boss, news which was economically great and was an awesome compliment as well. I wound up saying things like, “Really? REALLY? No, REALLY?” into the phone a lot.

Saturday: got some clarity about how I want my copper kitchen counters to look. We could be done with the project in a few weeks. Under cabinet lighting is going in right now.

Sunday: saw Parents, Interrupted. Did a Valslide workout that seemed surprisingly easy, yet I was surprisingly sore yesterday.

Monday: Did all my chores when I got home and was in bed going to sleep at 10 pm, per plan. I know that sounds boring as hell, but that is just huge for me.
