Yesterday was just a really nice, relaxing day. I wound up with two Bessts:
– took the Sons, Interrupted to Target. I was struck by how much fun I have going places with them (and with all the Kids, Interrupted, actually) and how much they make me laugh. Cole, in particular, still holds hands with me.
– wound up reading an entire book last night, which helped me embrace the part where it’s a good thing that I’m doing a ton of new things at work; that while it’s unsettling to not have all the answers for a while, it’s a good thing for me to be doing new things and stretching myself.
If I have to declare a tiebreaker, I declare the trip to Target as the winner. I’m not sure how long that ‘wow, this is wonderful that I regularly have no idea what I’m doing’ feeling will last, but I’ll always appreciate having my hand held in the parking lot.

I can verify that Cole is a wonderfully affectionate young man. I thought that it was due to superb parenting! It is always delightful to go places with both of your sons-interrupted.
