We could have had dinner anywhere and it would have been fantastic.

We could have had dinner anywhere and it would have been fantastic.

Is it just me, or does it seem like every day I wind up with some sort of tie for The Besst?

Not that I’m complaining, mind you.

Last night I had dinner with one of the Daughters, Interrupted, Abby, and her young man, Tim (Boyfriend, Interrupted?) at Kobe, a sushi place in Tempe. The food was excellent; the conversation was wonderful.

Also right up there on the Besst-Meter was

– talking with the other Daughter, Interrupted, Lane, who told me some of her own wonderful news (I’ll let her cover that on The Laniest blog she’s no doubt running on her life);

– being honored to attend the first birthday party of a young man whose mother works with me;

– watching the awesome contractor wreak his magic in the kitchen. I’m wandering around the house with my electric kettle looking for an outlet (like Diogenes searching for an honest man) but it’s worth it. The cabinets are gorgeous and I can’t wait to share the big reveal.

Now I have to do some actual work, pack for a business trip, and get some laundry done. I can’t wait to find out what wonderful things will be in all that!
